Hi, I’m Tanisha.

Tanisha is an exceptional and highly skilled Occupational Therapist who brings both passion and expertise to her role. She graduated from Monash University with a Bachelor of Occupational Therapy (Honours) and is a fully registered therapist with AHPRA, as well as a proud member of Occupational Therapy Australia.

Tanisha’s journey with Gumboots began even before completing her studies, starting as a Therapy Assistant. Her commitment and talent were evident, and she joined the team as a registered Occupational Therapist in 2021, continuing to make a significant impact on the lives of the children and families she works with.

With a deep passion for empowering children to reach their full potential, Tanisha specializes in helping children increase their independence through tailored, fun, and engaging strategies. Her approach is focused on building confidence in everyday activities, ensuring that each child feels supported and capable in their day-to-day life.

Tanisha’s dedication to continuous professional development is evident through her ongoing pursuit of learning and expertise. She draws inspiration from courses such as Kim Bathel’s Be and Belong, has completed Tuning in to Kids, and is CO-OP (Cognitive Orientation to daily Occupational Performance) trained. In addition, Tanisha has recently completed a Supervisors Professional Development course, further strengthening her ability to guide and support new graduates and those new to paediatric therapy. She has also attended Dr. Ross Greene’s Collaborative & Proactive Solutions (CPS) course, bringing cutting-edge approaches to managing challenging behaviours and creating positive outcomes for children.

Tanisha’s combination of clinical expertise, passion for working with children, and commitment to professional growth makes her a vital member of the team. Her genuine care for each child she works with, combined with her experience and innovative approach, ensures that every child receives the highest standard of care in achieving their individual goals.
