Hi, I’m Kiara.

Kiara is a passionate and highly experienced Occupational Therapist with a decade of dedication to supporting children and families. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy (2015) and a Master’s degree (2018), both completed in the Philippines. Since then, Kiara has worked extensively in paediatric settings, bringing a deeply rooted love for working with children, one that began early in life while assisting at her grandmother’s school.

With over 10 years of clinical experience, Kiara blends evidence-based frameworks with warmth and creativity. Her approach to therapy is child-led, play-based, and grounded in sensory integration and neurodevelopmental principles, including experience in the Neurodevelopmental Bobath approach. She believes that building strong connections and creating fun, motivating environments are essential in helping children thrive, because children who are engaged and joyful are children who learn best.

Kiara’s passion extends beyond therapy sessions. She has mentored junior occupational therapists and served as a clinical instructor for OT students in the Philippines. Her commitment to empowering both children and fellow clinicians makes her a valued and inspiring member of the Gumboots team.
